School District 191

Independent School District 191 is located 15 miles from both downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. Serving the city of Burnsville and parts of the neighboring cities of Savage and Eagan, the school district educates more than 11,500 students and is the 12th largest school district in the state of Minnesota. This award winning school district consists of 14 schools with 10 elementary schools, 3 junior highs, one senior high school and one alternative school.

ISD 191 schools are rated 9 out of 10 and test scores for the school district are in the high 80s. The average ACT score at Burnsville High School is 23.4, which is higher than both the state and national average. The district also boosts some of the most educated teachers in the area with 75% of its teachers holding a masters degree or other advanced degree.
