Alec grew up in Northfield, where he also graduated from St. Olaf College. He and his wife moved back to Northfield several years ago, and they now live there with their four children. Alec draws upon his Speech Communication degree to explain the mortgage process in a way that people can understand, whether they have a financial background or not. This communication background has also led to a side career as a speaker, delivering more than 50 speeches and classes a year on mortgage and Real Estate topics such as buying your first home, building a new home and debt management.
